It will help to know that Satan’s primary assignment is to deceive the world (Rev 12:9). Jesus called him a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44) as such he works overtime to sell lies to everyone who cares to buy. When people find it difficult believing that Jesus has forgiven them or difficult believing any bible truth at all, it shows they’ve believed a lie of Satan more than the word of God.
