In a remarkable move to uplift the youth and foster entrepreneurship, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has initiated a groundbreaking empowerment program that has already begun to change lives. With a substantial allocation of ₦105,000,000 shared among 895 graduates of vocational training, this initiative is designed to provide financial support and kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys. Each beneficiary will receive ₦3 million, a significant amount aimed at helping them establish small businesses of their choice.
The funds were distributed following a rigorous two-month vocational training program organized by the state government. This training, conducted in Agbani, Enugu State, equipped the participants with essential skills in various fields such as fishery, piggery, poultry farming, and business management. By focusing on practical skills, the program ensures that the graduates are well-prepared to utilize their start-up capital effectively.
Governor Nwifuru emphasized the importance of monitoring the beneficiaries to ensure that the funds are used responsibly and to maximize their potential for success. This proactive approach reflects a commitment to not only provide financial assistance but also to guide the new entrepreneurs on their journey, ensuring that they thrive in their respective ventures.
